New Southerly 57RS by Dubois - Initial Sea Trials

2nd August, 2010

Initial sea trials for the first Southerly 57RS have taken place in the Solent.

The Southerly commissioning team, along with North Sails, reported that the trials were very successful and the yacht sailed, both beautifully balanced and with performance meeting expectations.

This yacht has been built to an extensive high specification, including a custom carbon mast and hydraulic furling boom system, by GMT Composites in Newport, USA. The owner has chosen the 4 cabin layout, with garaging in the stern, for a Williams Turbo Jet.

After spending a while on the South Coast, this yacht will be shipped to the States, for the USA PREMIERE at Annapolis Boat Show in October.
