Southerly 38 Wins 3rd in Class & 7th Overall in Arc!

Mark Jagger, skipper comments: "We did very well. We came 7th on corrected time out of the entire fleet and we were the first sub 40ft yacht in the cruising division to cross the finish line, completing the trip in 15 days.

We entered the cruising division, but next time, I would have no problem entering the racing division.

Little Pea behaved really well throughout the trip. I have always found her to be an impressive downwind boat, but this trip demonstrated that, handled properly, she's a really fast boat. Not just an ocean going yacht, but a fast one for her size. Top speed recorded was 16.8 kts, and routinely we were doing 8.5 kts.

Paul & Sheryl Shard, onboard Distant Shores, Southerly 49, won 5th in Class, whilst also filming for their TV series ‘Distant Shores’ which will be shown on the Travel Channel.
